Hello everyone,
Since you found our website you’ve probably received the little box which is supposed to travel around the world to connect as many people as possible.
The Idea:
The idea is that everyone who receives the box puts in his/her favourite story, poem, joke, lyrics, or a description of a traditional custom of his own culture or from the country he or she is visiting. We put a permanent pen into it so you can mark your current location. In order to see where the box recently is you can check our map.
How to send us the photo and the description:
It would be great if you could send us an e-mail (mail@theworldinabox.net) with a photo of yourself with the box and maybe write a short text about how and where you got the box, where you took the picture and to whom you gave it afterwards. We then will post everything on this web page as fast as possible.
Who we are:
We are three young people from Germany and we are especially interested in different cultures and their customs. We are curious how far this little box will travel and we hope that it will make it’s way around the world. We are looking forward to getting it back full of exciting stories. In the end we would like to make a book about the journey of the box. Anyone who is interested and wants to have a copy can contact us via this web page.

Below you can see some pictures of us three taken in the Westfalenpark in Dortmund in front of the famous tv tower called “Florianturm”. That day we enjoyed a wonderful walk in the Park and enjoyed the sunny weather and the cold snow.
